The Grant Ranch Legacy

Land that earned its story.

Raccoon Creek sits on a piece of Colorado that has been lived on, worked, and loved long before the first tee box was set. The Grant Family Ranch shaped the landscape, the waterways, and the character of southwest Littleton for generations.

In 1990, that history became a golf course — one that preserved the ranch's natural contours, its creek corridors, its mature trees, and its sense that this ground means something.

The result is a course where the land does half the work. Players who know come back for the history underfoot as much as the golf above it.

"You cannot build new history. Every round here adds one more chapter to a place that has been telling Colorado's story for over a century."

1880s

The Grant Ranch Takes Root

The Grant family establishes their working ranch on the southwest edge of what would become Littleton. The land becomes a defining feature of the region's agricultural heritage — shaped by the creek that still bears its name.

Golf Comes to the Ranch

Raccoon Creek Golf Course opens, carefully integrating 18 holes into the existing landscape — preserving the creek corridors, mature trees, and open vistas that defined the ranch for a century before.

Today

Colorado's Living Course

Raccoon Creek remains one of the Denver area's most distinctive public golf experiences — not because of flash or manufactured luxury, but because the land itself carries weight. The history is underfoot on every hole.
